The short version
If you ticked the box and gave a mobile number, Monty or someone on his team may text you. Reply STOP at any time and it ends immediately. You never had to tick the box to get the book.
Consenting
When you request the advance copy of Lending Unleashed or the companion course, you are asked for a mobile number and shown a notice explaining what giving it means. Submitting the form with a number in it is you agreeing to receive calls and text messages at that number.
Consent is not a condition of getting the book. You get the book and the full course either way.
What you will receive
Messages about the book and the course, including access links.
Occasional notes when new writing or new material is published.
Replies to a question you sent through the site.
How often
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Those are set by your mobile carrier and have nothing to do with us.
Stopping
Reply STOP to any message. That ends all further messages to that number. You will get one confirmation that it worked, and then nothing further.

You can also write to Monty@MontyFelts.com and ask to be removed.
Stopping text messages does not remove your access to the book or the course, and does not remove you from email. Those are separate.
Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, and messages may not arrive in all areas or on all networks.
Your number
Your mobile number is treated as described in the Privacy Policy. It is not sold, and it is not passed to any third party for their own marketing.

The consent line shown on the sign up form reads:
