The short version

This site collects your name, your email address, and sometimes your mobile number. It uses them to send you the book, give you access to the course, and answer your questions. It does not sell your information to anyone.

The rest of this page is the detail behind that.

Who is responsible for your information

This website is operated by Disciple Marketing LLC. Monty Felts is a Regional Vice President at CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC, and this is his personal site. It is not operated by CrossCountry Mortgage, and CrossCountry is not responsible for it.

If you have a question about your information, or you want a copy of it or want it deleted, write to Monty@MontyFelts.com or Monty Felts, CrossCountry Mortgage, 2201 Spinks Road, Suite 236, Flower Mound, TX 75022.

What is collected, and where

There are three places on this site where you can give us information, and one thing that happens automatically.

When you request the book and course. You give a name, an email address, a mobile number, and an answer to the question about where you are in your career. You may also tick a box agreeing to be contacted by phone or text.

When you use the Ask Monty form. You give a name, an email address, a mobile number if you choose to, a short note about where you are, and your question.

When you sign in. There are no passwords on this site. You enter your email address, we send a code or a link to it, and clicking through signs you in. We store your email address so we can recognise you next time.

Automatically. Standard web server logs, which include your IP address, your browser type, and which pages you asked for. A single cookie that keeps you signed in. See the Cookie and Tracking Notice for the full picture, which is currently very short.

Why it is collected

To send you the book and the course access you asked for.

To answer your question when you send one.

To recognise you when you come back, without making you keep a password.

To understand which parts of the site people actually use, so it can be improved.

To contact you about the book, the course, and related material, if you asked us to. You can stop this at any time.

What is never done with it

Your information is not sold. It is not rented. It is not traded, and it is not handed to a data broker or an advertising network.

Who else sees it

Only the services needed to run the site:

These providers act on our instructions. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

Mortgage enquiries

This site is not a loan application and does not take one. If your question leads to a conversation about an actual mortgage, that conversation moves to CrossCountry Mortgage's own systems, and CrossCountry's privacy notice governs it from that point. Their notice is separate from this one.

How long it is kept

Course and book access records are kept while your access is active, and for 24 months after it stops.

Questions sent through the Ask Monty form are kept for 24 months so that a conversation can be picked back up.

Server logs are kept for a short period, in line with the hosting provider's normal practice.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the information held about you.

You can ask for it to be corrected.

You can ask for it to be deleted. If you do, course access goes with it.

You can stop marketing email by using the unsubscribe link in any message, and stop text messages by replying STOP.

To do any of these, write to Monty@MontyFelts.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you live in California

The California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to have it deleted, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that law. You will never be treated differently for exercising these rights.

To make a request, write to Monty@MontyFelts.com.

Children

This site is for working mortgage and real estate professionals. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18.

Security

Access records are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Sign in uses a signed session cookie rather than a stored password, which means there is no password here to be stolen. No system is perfect, and no one can promise otherwise.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. It is worth checking back occasionally.
